Make a Chair Every Day
Lauren Rapp ’07 made a tiny chair every day from December 2014 until December 2015. It began innocently enough—she made a chair three days in a row just for fun before announcing she was committing to a full year of chair-making. “If you say something in a public forum like Instagram, you kind of have to do it,” she says.
In fact, Lauren’s chair-a-day project was featured in The Washington Post.
“The best part of the project was the lessons I didn’t expect to learn, like the satisfaction of daily creativity, self-acceptance and seeing objects in a new way.”
